Mele Kalikimaka

Mele Kalikimaka everyone!

(and Happy Birthday Mike!)

It's my first christmas ever away from family. Most of us here are in the same boat so we'll band together to make our own christmas. We got Denis' (pronounced Deh-NEE's) tree out of the box and broke out all the decorations.

Well, I finally made it to the beach for a sun-rise. Beautiful!

This is Daron, one of Robinette's best friends who she built her house with.

A neigbor, Zsolt (say Zsholt), took me fishing for the first time and showed me how it's done in hawaii. I don't have a big enough rod to go for the big ones yet but Zsholt was able to catch this purple goat fish. If you can believe it, the colors were even more vibrant than what showed up in this picture.

Here I am with James and Brent, two guys on my landscaping crew at Kalani. We're heating rocks for a solstice sweat ceremony in a sweat lodge I helped build this spring. "Now THATs a fire"

Other than all the fun you see here, I'm still working a day a week at Kalani, and started doing some odd jobs like drywall and painting for some local homeowners. I still haven't found a place to live, but I have some more good leads. I'm ready to nest in my own place so I think it's going to happen soon. I'll keep you all posted.

Aloha

I've never seen anything like this Jade vine:
