Happy Birthday Kai! (My little brother trurns 21 today! I guess he's not so little anymore)
Robinette's Brother and his family came out here from near Toronto for a week of play in Hawaii. It was a lot of fun getting to know them and playing together. Here is Cory, Marilyn, and Keanna and Robinette.
A few days of sightseeing around puna, included a trip to the Lava of course. We found some great surface flow:
In search of some clearer skies, we took of for Kona....On the way we went to Green Sands beach. It is really an incredible place, the sand is actually made of semiprecious green crystals called olivine and it's surrounded by beautifully sculpted rocks.

We even saw a green sand Mermaid!
In Kona, we found our clear skies. One of my favorite beaches had completely washed away, but all the sand offshore lead to some incredible looking water that was more turquoise than usual.

Robinette and I had fun dressing up as tourists for a trip to the Kona Brewing Company which is a must on any Kona trip.

And for their last night, Denis, Marilyn and I cooked up a feast.
