After discovering that their dreams to move to the mendocino coast were not ready to be realized, Mom and Robin decided to put up a yurt next to their house to make their small cottage a little more spaceous.

They bought a 16' yurt from colorado yurt with all the bells and whistles. The kit was so well designed that it went up in less than 2 full days. Click the picture below for a slideshow (It's about 2.5M though so make sure you have some bandwidth)

On the first day, Robin and I got this far in about 4 hours!

Mom had been waiting for two months to receive the yurt, in which time she had gathered all the furniture and decorations for her new bedroom. It took her only 3 hours from the time I swept up the last bit of sawdust for her to be completely moved in!
